Course Overview
The course is suited to anyone wishing to improve their general computer literacy and become more proficient in using computers and digital devices for professional and personal work. The course addresses the needs of a modern organisation where computers, digital devices, and online media are used to communicate, access information, create documents, and present information.
The training is delivered via a number of high quality online learning environments including video and interactive audiovisual environments. The ACIT online learning portal provides the logical and sequential structure of the course. Students are given access to the learning portal which also provides the means to interact with their trainer, submit work, and receive feedback. Students are awarded the qualification on successful completion of the assessment activities and demonstration of competence in the workplace.
CURRICULUM
This subject covers searching and using web content and using email including how to create, customize, and manage e-mail messaging and task scheduling. The student should be able to accomplish basic Web search tasks using a Web browser application and search engine tools, to bookmark and evaluate search results.
